Jaago India - Keep Voting | Tata Tea Campaign

Tata Tea came come with a new campaign called "Jaagore". Where in they have emphasized the importance of voting. This was a eye breaker for most of us.Since childhood i had a hard feeling for politic and had never thought of entering in the politics. This was not just with me but with most of us. Everyone wish to be a Doctor, Scientist, Engineer, Managing Directors & so on. But very few of us really wish to be a politician in near future. Over here i would just like to say that the entire concept of politics is been understood wrong by most of the youth.

We never stop from pointing our politicians & their work. We always want to stop bribe, corruption, biased behaviour, illiteracy, poverty, infrastructure, terrorism. But is that all we are doing to stop all this. We realise, we blame , we regret but we don't really take a action to stop this. But i truly appreciate Tata Tea's effort to wake up from deep sleep.

As rightly said by Mahatma Gandhi,
‘we must be the change we want to see in this world’. So before pointing other let us change a bit. Firstly most of us don't utilise our power of voting. And the reason behind it are many, registering for vote is a very confusing & complicated process, i don't have sufficient Proof to register for vote & i don't want to vote as there are many people and my vote won't really make the difference. But do we even know that the youth make up a majority of our billion population. So common everybody lets us all contribute a little bit for our country. United we stand together- lets start registering for the election and vote for a suitable candidate who can look after our problems.

To make the election process more simpler Tata Tea has launched a website
www.jaagoindia.org, which took up different issues from time to time, seeking interaction with the youth and a hunt for possible solutions. On this site you will get updates on:

* Updates on your voter registration status
* Voting and election related news from your city
* Even reminders on Election Day with your polling booth details!

I have registered myself for the elections 2008. What are you guys waiting for.

Don't just vote for the sake, Vote for our country.

I do agree with you Mitali but there is one small difference its not that any one want to join politics there are many young Indians who have entered this field. I am really glad that people have started thinking about this but to start with we should try to find out the information about local candidates and active people and try to decide before casting our crucial vote. Waitng for further Post !
