No compromise - Security

Dear Mumbaikars,

Well in my last post I had raised an issue for the security of our army. When asked to one of the concerned person in an interview that why don't we have enough bullet proff jacket, he immediately said that such jackets are not ment for police because police don't deal with such kind of mission. But the concern is in need are we gonna wait for the NSG & the CAT commandos to come. How can someone even say that it is not required for our police. It's them who fight with the local Gundas. And this days even they have sophisticated ammunation. Is any of the politician ready to live without politicians. No. They need all kindda security but wen it comes to spending money for some good cause than they find it a meer waste of money. The reason i am stressing on this points is because in the interview he clearly said it will be a waste of money to by such jackets for all the police force. I think we need to wake them up by actually showing them how US take care of thier army force.

The Chief Minister and the Home Minister have resigned but is it all that is enough. Why are we allowing our Govt babus to just resign and get away with what they have done??? Aren't they answerable for this incident which took place. To my shock Mr R R Patil made a statement saying that such incidents happens in a big city like mumbai( Aise hadse ek aad baar ho jate hai)

Are they not to be hauled up for their failures:

1)It was reported that the Intelligence Bureau had informed and warned the Maharashtra Govt about the attacks on the two hotels....even as recently as Nov. 18th, 2008, the Intelligence Bureau had even warned about the attack being planned from the Sea.

2) It was reported that the Mumbai Macchimar Union had written about four months back to the State Govt. about false licences and registrations given to Bangladeshi trawlers to fish in the seas of Maharashtra and Gujarat and that such vessels were being used to transfer RDX.

3) It was reported that the Coast Guard was aware and was informed about the missing trawlers from Gujarat .

And yet nothing was done.....if only the Maharashtra Govt. had acted on these and many such Intelligence reports, then precious lives could have been saved.
